From everyday breakfasts and school lunches to kids' baseball games and restaurants across the nation, Minute Maid® has been part of Americans' daily lives for decades. Today's Minute Maid reflects the brand tagline: "Put good in. Get good out." And when Minute Maid launches a new product, that philosophy holds true.
Minute Maid Sparkling is a line of great-tasting, low-calorie sparkling juice drinks that combines 6% real fruit juice, sparkling water and other natural flavors to address two aspects of the beverage business: the growing popularity of flavored sparkling water and juice drinks (the category is growing by double digits, according to 2014 data from Nielsen AMC) and the substantial size of the sparkling-still category, which has the potential to add incremental retail sales to the traditional classification of sparkling beverages.
Minute Maid Sparkling comes in lemonade, mixed berry, tropical citrus and fruit punch flavors, in .5-liter single-serve PET bottles.
Brand History
Minute Maid started out in 1945 as an orange juice company. Responding to the need for a convenient alternative to hand-squeezed juices, Minute Maid lined store shelves with a frozen orange juice concentrate. Customers loved the product, and Minute Maid kept the momentum going.
Over the decades, Minute Maid launched other made-from-juice products that became so popular that the humble orange juice concentrate has been overshadowed by any-time-of-day drinks like lemonade and punch. Today, with more than 100 flavors and varieties, Minute Maid is the largest brand in the Coca-Cola juice portfolio — which also includes Simply® and Odwalla® — and is sold in more than 70 countries around the world. It offers an array of juice products, from traditional Pure Squeezed Orange Juice; to specialized beverages like Minute Maid Kids+ Orange Juice, Minute Maid Heartwise® Orange Juice and reduced-calorie drinks like Minute Maid Just 10; as well as myriad other fruit-flavored drinks.
